SUPPORT CHICK-FIL-A

In case you've been under a rock these last few weeks, Chick-Fil-A has come under fire for some comments made about gay marriage by CEO Dan Cathy.

On July 2, 2012, the LGBT watchdog group Equality Matters published a report with details of donations given by Chick-fil-A to organizations that are opposed to same-sex marriage, such as the Marriage & Family Foundation and the Family Research Council. Also, on July 2, Biblical Recorder published an interview with Dan Cathy, who was asked about opposition to his company's "support of the traditional family." He replied: "Well, guilty as charged."

He continued "We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that. ... We want to do anything we possibly can to strengthen families. We are very much committed to that," Cathy emphasized. "We intend to stay the course," he said. "We know that it might not be popular with everyone, but thank the Lord, we live in a country where we can share our values and operate on biblical principles."

Today is Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day. No seriously, it is. It was named that by Mike Huckabee. If you are a Christian or even a non-Christian who believes what Cathy said was right, there's ONLY ONE thing to do: go get a chicken sandwich. Even if you don't agree but believe in every person's First Amendment Right to free speech, you should also go get a chicken sandwich. Chick-Fil-A has never turned away a gay person from buying at their store. It has never not hired someone because they were gay. In fact, its their own gay employees talking smack. Wouldn't you think quitting would be the braver decision as opposed to speaking in anonymity "so I won't get fired"? SMH.

They are trying to pull the rug out from under Chick-Fil-A and there's only one way to stop it: make them more profitable than they've ever been. Christians always blame the world for doing what its supposed to do. I blame the Christians for being asleep at the wheel. If you are not near a Chick-Fil-A (like I am), they sell merchandise. Go to their website and buy some T-shirts. Buy a mug. Buy a lunch tote. However, show your support.

"Well, he shouldn't have said that," the Christian/anti-gay person whines. In the name of Jesus, "Do not be afraid." Only in a pagan country is sticking up for morality a sin. Only in a pagan country is Jesus bad for business. How much of this country is going to go down the drain before the SAINTS say enough is enough? THAT would be patriotoc not asking Pres O about his birth certificate even after its been released.

And mark my words, this is only the beginning.
