Jesse Jackson Jr. is in Mayo Clinic in Minnesota being treated for depression, possibly a "mood disorder", and gastrointestinal issues. He has been there for seven weeks and his father, the one and only Jesse Jackson, gives no timeline as to when his son will be released. The statesman is also under investigation for trying to buy now-President Obama's old Senate seat from disgraced Governor Rod Blagojevich. Some question the timing of this "sick leave" which is understandable. But how humiliating would it be for his father's legacy if he, Jesse Jackson's son, is convicted of bribing the disgraced Governor to have Obama's seat and being hauled off to jail?
Nonetheless, our thoughts and prayers are with he and his family.
