Tell the truth. Shame the devil. I have been hiding behind weaves and braids for six years (!?! I can't believe it's been that long). There was a big chop in January of 2011 so I have mid-length natural hair. If pressed, my hair would be to my shoulders. Frankly, I'm tired of the hiding. I want to come out of the hair closet and start wearing my own hair-no weaves, braids, straightening combs, etc. I want to finally enjoy the head of hair God blessed me with. I am fearful of having to learn my hair because (tell the truth) there is a learning curve when going for-real, for-real natural when trying to get natural black hair, through the right processes and products, to be obedient. But enough is enough. Once these individuals come out within the next couple of weeks, it's on. I say that now (eye roll)...but I'll keep you posted.
