Black men are the scum of the Earth. They have dropped the ball and are content to be failures. They are the least educated and the least hard-working group of men. They pride themselves on being walking dildos and maturing to marriage-minded men about 10 years later than men of other races. They are violent and evil. They are not loyal and the most double talking group of men on the planet. Black women are getting advanced degrees. They are writing books. They are writing scripts. They are waiting until marriage to have children (the better ones). They hold up the Black church. Whatever success Black people have had over tbhe past 50 years, it is due to the work of Black women. The only place that Black women lack, is their dependence and their desire for companionship with Black men. Think about it. Black women are getting their educaion. They're working in corporate or starting their own businesses. They are deeply spiritual. But when it comes to marriage and raising children with equally mature people (the father of their children which is usually a black man), we are behind the 8-ball for sure. Black men fill the jail cells and then cry about the justice system without thinking they shouldn't have done what they did to have to deal with a justice system that sentences them hard in the first place. They continue to perpetuate the drug culture. They are the last to get a college degree if they get a degree at all. They want Black women to submit and to accept them for their good personalities when they are more than willing to bring money to the table for non-Black women. Ninety percent of the children on welfare, regardless of the mother's race, are fathered by Black men. Black women, stop holding your breath for Black men, especially if you're making more than six-figures and looking for a man on or above your level. They do not exist and if they do exist, they are not holding their breath for you. As Bill Cosby said at a Spelman commencement, "Leave the men behind."
This is way too much. To write and publish a post that so negatively portrays our brothers, fathers and sons is low, especially coming from a sister. Yes, our community has problems including our men, but this post is not constructive, it is divisive and the type of post that will send the good black men running the other way. Do us a favour and think before you post.
ReplyDeleteSister, or brain-washed black men sympathizer, you are BRAIN-WASHED. What "Good' Black men? That fact that we use that adjective to describe Black men just proves that the average black man is not at all good. When's the last time you've heard a white man or Asian man typified as good? Good is IMPLIED. Not so with Black men? Gee, I wonder why. Run along.
DeleteNo, don't put your label on me because I ask for constructive criticism instead of just put downs. If you must respond to me, then avoid the 'run along' dismissal as a shut down. I have as much right to an opinion as you do and I will exercise that right as long as this forum allows me to do so.
ReplyDeleteYes, I share the frustrations that some feel about the men in our community. However, I stand by my point that there are some good black men out there. If I want to call them 'good' I will if it is true. It's an adjective in the English language and part of my vocabulary and it can be applied to some men of ALL races. No, I don't assume that when you talk of an Asian man or a white man that he is 'good'. I know some good black men (take it as you will). Sorry that you don't.
