Black Women Are Dumb As Hell!

Over at http://www.curlynikki.com/ a post was presented where a man who's wife (the lady pictured above) had gone natural and thus wanted to break up...while she was pregnant with Baby #2. He thought his friends wife was a better woman because even though she had gone natural, she went back to relaxing after her husband had discussed it with her. 'You always do nappy styles' he whined. The solution that they came to was for her to do more straight styles and she was elated because it was a simple communication issue. Truthfully, she probably should've thought of that earlier on as a way to help him transition.

Of course, the comments section was ablaze. There were two camps. The 'Oh no he didn't' crowd of which I was a part of and 'don't judge, you don't know the relationship. this is what men do' crowd. The original poster came back and tried to further excuse her husband's negligence to her pregnancy hormones tried to put a positive spin on it explaining the intent of the original post was to show how to resolve conflict around hair without losing your marriage, ignoring the fact that there were larger issues at play with her hubby. Of course, the problem was those of us whose eyebrows were raised while reading the post. We didn't value marriage. Obviously, her husband didn't either.

What I was dumbfounded about was the fact that so many of the married responders were normalizing the incident. THIS is normal? A Black man in the 21rst century that has been married for 5 years and is expecting child #2 wants to break his vows with a GORGEOUS committed woman because she wants to wear her hair the way God intended to and his 'childish rant' (her words) was subsided when she agreed to straighten it 'more often'. The married women were clapping in agreement. 'Do what you gotta do'. They were damn near crying about the others saying HOLD THE HELL UP.

I can't do it. I really can't do it. I cannot babysit a (Black) man's never-maturing mental state. They are from a different planet. And sadly, Black women are no different. Now, I see why the BWE crowd are so hard on Black women. They lay down and accept any little CRUMB of attention and raise it up as love. They will defend Black men's dysfunction more than black men do. I told you about how I was praying that God raise Black women's stock in the world. Judging by our actions, our actions say we don't want it though even when God works in our favor. We don't want respect and mutual understanding. We enjoy CRUMBS and will hold on like its gold by any means neccessaryand then whine when we're starving.

It is not wrong to hold your husband accountable. He held her accountable, didn't he? It is not wrong to compromise. Spare me the hatemail. It is wrong to think that this issue is over. It is naive to think switching it up is really the issue in this situation. It is wrong to not invest in some couples therapy here. I know I wrote a post about colorism but judging by this man's decision making capabilities illustrated in HER post, if she was not  light-skinned...
